Translated Poetry Presses

Translated Poetry Presses

A working directory of presses that publish poetry in translation, plus a lightweight view into translator networks. This page exists for discovery, citation, and community uplift.

How to use this directory

Use this page like a map.

  • Start with the press. If you’re exploring translated poetry broadly, open a press’s catalogue and let the titles teach you what the press actually publishes.
  • Follow the translator trail. Translators are connective tissue across languages, editors, and aesthetics. When a translator appears repeatedly, treat it as a signal of a living network, not a closed loop.
  • Treat “motif” as a vibe check, not a rule. Press identities shift over time. Use the spotlight notes to orient yourself, then verify by browsing recent lists.
  • Use this page for uplift. If a press has carried work you love, link to them. Cite them. Name the translators. Send readers toward the people doing the work.

Directory of translated poetry presses

This is not meant as a complete directory but an ongoing, updating project of who’s publishing translated poetry. Eventually I’d love to include historical publishers that are no longer.

Press spotlights
