Advice from 1 disciple of Marx to 1 Heidegger fanatic
Mario Santiago Papasquiaro
Translated from Spanish by Alexis Graman, Cole Heinowitz
Mario Santiago Papasquiaro’s Advice from 1 disciple of Marx to 1 Heidegger fanatic, translated by Alexis Graman and Cole Heinowitz, is a Mexican poetry entry with a title that already starts talking too fast in the best way. Marx and Heidegger become less academic name-dropping than comic engines for argument, provocation, and street-level philosophical excess. Papasquiaro, associated with the infrarealist orbit, brings a wildness to Mexican poetry that refuses good manners. Published by Wave Books, this is a book for readers who like poems that feel like manifestos written while running through the city at night. It belongs in the library as a work of agitation, intelligence, and necessary unruliness.
